How does billing work?
Standard rate is $75/hour, billed per engagement with a clear estimate provided upfront. For ongoing or larger projects, flat-fee or retained arrangements are available. Invoicing is monthly or per-deliverable depending on your preference.
What jurisdictions do you research?
Primarily California, Texas, and federal matters. Other states can be handled with appropriate scoping — reach out to confirm.
How fast is turnaround?
Depends on scope. Straightforward research requests typically turn around in 2–5 business days. Urgent matters can be expedited when availability allows. Clear deadlines are confirmed at the start of every engagement.
Is this work covered by my malpractice insurance?
Andrea works as a contract paralegal under the supervision of the engaging attorney. Research product is delivered to counsel, who reviews and integrates it into their work product. As with any freelance paralegal arrangement, supervising attorneys retain responsibility for final legal work.
Can Andrea work with my case management system?
Yes. She's comfortable with Clio, MyCase, and other common platforms. For firms that prefer email or shared drive delivery, that works too.
